The Project
Streamlining an operational process to enable cross-sell of retail products EU-wide - forecasted to enable several hundred million in revenue over 3 years. Additionally improving customer & vendor experience.
The Opportunity / Problem
The business had a significant growth opportunity if able to cross-sell products pan-EU, rather than be limited to products created & set-up in each EU country.
The problem was that operational processes had evolved in country siloes, and therefore there was no standardization for product creation pan-EU and various legal & compliance challenges.
Approach
This programme required identification of & collaboration with a large cross-country, cross-functional stakeholder base. This was a highly complex and multi-faceted programme. The steps taken were:
Outcome
The outcome was achieved, enabling cross-sell of products across EU platforms.
Additionally, streamlined process complexity driving an 80% reduction in vendor product creation time, a high-value blocker to the business achieving its primary strategic goal to grow product selection.
